Monday
Get your art on for one of your last chances to catch the Marc Chagall exhibit on display in the Beatrice M. Haggerty Gallery in the Art Building. Chagall’s hand water-colored etchings depict scenes from the Old Testament of the Bible. The last day of the exhibit, “Marc Chagall: Intersecting Traditions,” is this week, Friday.
If you’re both a student and an employee, UD is giving back starting Monday. Monday is the start of student employee appreciation week at UD.
Tuesday
Make sure that you’ve registered for the next fall semester before it’s too late. That’s right. You don’t want to miss out because you missed early registration. On Tuesday, 8 a.m., advising and early registration for the fall semester end for undergraduates, the Braniff Graduate School, and the School of Ministry. In this case, the early bird gets the...class they want.
If you still haven’t moseyed on over to the Marc Chagall exhibit, there’s still another chance. On Tuesday there will be the last Nostra Aetate reading based on the Marc Chagall etchings on display. The reading is at 12:30 p.m in the Art History Building Auditorium.
Seniors will also be presenting their senior thesis papers on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Gorman Faculty Lounge. A panel of three professors will judge the presentation, and if you want to cheer on your classmates, don’t worry, because the presentations are free to the public.
Wednesday
Later in the week, Wednesday, from 3 to 5 p.m., a student worker appreciation ceremony will take place in the upstairs Haggar dining room. There’s a bonus, too: refreshments and door prizes. Who doesn’t want some freebies? Wait. That’s a dumb question. During the ceremony the student employee of the 2015-2016 academic year will also be announced.
Ali Mirza, MBA ‘12, alum and social media guru, is presenting at the UD Entrepreneurship Society on Wednesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m in SB Hall, Room 244. Mirza won Startup Weekend in Denton in 2014 with his food app 'FiveOH!' Known around the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex as the skilled social media strategist and founder of iSocialYou, Mirza has helped businesses create everything from engaging social brands to engaging phone apps. Almost forgot to mention, FREE pizza.
Thursday
What else is there to say? TGIT. Only one more day until it’s Friday and only two days until it’s Saturday and then the weekend. That means a total of four days until (lame) Monday. So get your Thursday on at the Rathskeller Pub/patio at 9 p.m. with your classmates and enjoy bringing in Friday.
Friday
TGIF!
Wait.
I almost forgot. The senior art exhibits are on display all day. You can see art hanging from the walls all around campus. Senior art exhibitions will be on display in the Thompson Loggia, Gorman Lecture Center, Blakley Foyer and Braniff Foyer through Saturday, April 23.
