Today, the university officially announced that Brett J.L. Landry has been appointed dean of the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business. He has served as the college’s interim dean for the last 12 months, and is a nationally recognized business executive and longtime professor of cybersecurity. Additionally, he served as the college’s associate dean of academic affairs. He will begin his new role immediately.
“I’m extremely pleased to call Dr. Landry our newest dean,” said University of Dallas President Thomas W. Keefe. “His ongoing commitment to the university and our mission makes him the ideal person to lead the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business into the future. He is the ultimate team player and has the unique ability to inspire and motivate anyone working around him.”

He will continue to strengthen the Gupta College of Business as one of the premier business schools for practice-based business education. The university is fortunate to have Dr. Landry’s leadership and academic distinction,” said University of Dallas Provost C.W. Eaker.
For more than 25 years, Landry has worked in information security in the public and private sectors. He has taught and consulted in the United States, Europe and South America and has published and presented numerous articles in the areas of cybersecurity, information technology ethics, IT management, network architecture and disaster recovery.
Landry was instrumental in helping the college earn AACSB Accreditation and played a significant role in developing master’s programs in information and technology management and cybersecurity; he is also involved in university technology initiatives and is responsible for the University of Dallas' certification as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance by the U.S. National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security.
Landry earned a doctorate from Mississippi State University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Certified Ethical Hacker.
