Rome Expansion & Renewal

Since the opening of our Eugene Constantin Campus, more than 8,000 students have met the challenge of studying at UD’s home away from home in Rome. To ensure that all future students are afforded the same opportunity as today’s growing undergraduate population, the university has begun raising funds for a Rome expansion and renewal effort, which includes adding dormitory rooms, expanding the mensa, replacing the tennis court and soccer field, and expanding the faculty and staff quarters.

Cardinal Farrell Hall

When complete, Cardinal Farrell Hall, named after Cardinal Kevin Farrell, previous chancellor of UD and now the highest-ranking American clergyman in the Vatican, will transform UD’s campus into one that is worthy of the high-caliber education our students receive. Cardinal Farrell Hall will feature a three-story glass entryway and three state-of-the-art classrooms, serving as a one-stop student services and administration building. Each guest who visits our university will soon be welcomed by a “new front door.”

Soccer Facilities

To provide our student-athletes with a regulation-sized field and updated facility where they can practice and compete, UD has begun a campaign to enhance its soccer facilities. The project aims to regrade the soccer field, build additional seating, add lighting for nighttime games and evening practices, and provide covered team benches. With these new upgrades, the soccer field will be upgraded to meet NCAA standards, allowing our soccer players to play more home games and host NCAA tournaments.
