Beloved classics professor and Due Santi fixture Peter Hatlie, PhD, is retiring from his leadership roles as vice president, dean and director of the Rome Program this year.

Richard D. Kelly, MTS ’00, said the gift reflects his desire to see future generations of students benefit from the excellent faculty who greatly impacted his own faith and formation as a lay Catholic.

The annual program immerses students in Spanish language, poetry, culture and Catholic mysticism.
