#LoveYeUD this NTX Giving Day
Sep 23, 2021

Happy North Texas Giving Day! North Texas Giving Day is an annual communitywide fundraising effort supporting many worthy causes throughout the metroplex. It’s also a time for us, as a UD community, to come together in support of our students.

Your gift before midnight tonight goes directly to our Cor Scholarship Fund, immediately supporting the needs of our undergraduate students, 96% of whom rely on your generosity to succeed at UD. And remember, every single gift counts, no matter the size counts!

To those of you who have already made a donation online — thank you, thank you, thank you! And, most especially, thank you for sharing your testimonies in response to our theme, ‘How do you love UD?’ Read some of the inspiring notes we’ve already received below — and don’t hesitate to keep sharing why you love UD by emailing us at advancement@udallas.edu or on social media with the hashtag #LoveYeUD.

How do you love UD?

“UD gave me not only schooling, but an education in the truest sense — a cultivation of mind, body and spirit — of my whole person. It's no exaggeration to say I am a much better person today than I would be without that education.” -- Maximilian Wilson, BA ’19

“As a first-generation student and immigrant, my journey to explore American culture and academics started from UD, and it’s going great. I love UD because of its discipline and diverse culture, which makes me feel at home.” -- Marium

“I love the University of Dallas because it helped me achieve a critical educational goal. A UD education is distinctive because ethics and values are embedded in the curriculum.” #LoveYeUD -- La'Tricia Pearson, MBA ’18

“Submitting myself to the Core at the University of Dallas led me to understand something Louise Cowan said to me once: ‘Now you realize, Gregory, you don't choose your discipline; your discipline chooses you. It's like falling in love. You gravitate toward that at which you excel. Open yourself to everything so that what you were made for can find you.’” -- Gregory Borse, Ph.D., BA ’87 MA ’92,, Associate Professor of English & Philosophy, University of Arkansas at Monticello

“I am so very blessed and grateful for the transformative legacy of UD in my life. UD’s visionary mission lifts up the intellectual, spiritual and human treasures of civilization-imbuing scholarly learning with eternal values. This conviction of our moral dignity, inspiring purpose and ultimate timeless destiny, has encouraged, and consoled, me every step in my faith and life journey.” -- Mary Jo Dorn, MTS ’10, National Alumni Board member

If you haven’t donated yet, please consider making a gift before midnight tonight at udallas.edu/NTGD. Your gift will have an even greater impact thanks to a $50,000 matching gift from the Serafy family, who shares your belief in the power of a UD education to transform lives, and the world, for the better.
