Partnership Between University, Young Catholic Professionals Looks To Nurture Current and Future Catholic Employees

IRVING, Texas (Sept. 23, 2024) — The University of Dallas and Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) recently signed a partnership agreement. YCP, the largest national network of Catholic working professionals under the age of 40, is the university’s latest corporate or community partner. YCP Belong+ members receive a 20% scholarship toward tuition if enrolled in a graduate program of the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business or Braniff Graduate School of Liberal Arts.

“YCP is excited to partner with the University of Dallas to offer our members the opportunity to advance their education with a trusted university partner,” YCP Executive Director Peter Blute stated. “We share a commitment to investing in leaders, recognizing UDallas’ solid Catholic foundation and its dedication to fostering the growth of leaders who will bring their faith and gifts out into the world.”

Young Catholic Professionals is a faith-based network of young workers in their 20s and 30s. Established in 2010, YCP is the premier organization for young Catholic professionals, offering a community where faith, career and life intersect and thrive together. Through meaningful connections, professional development and spiritual growth, YCP empowers members to integrate their Catholic values into daily life. With over 3,000 members, 500 chapter volunteers and 40 chapters nationwide, YCP is dedicated to supporting and inspiring young professionals.

“The University of Dallas has always been dedicated to the pursuit of wisdom, truth and virtue, seeking to prepare its students for life and work, and to become leaders within their family, community, country and church,” said College of Business Dean J. Lee Whittington, PhD. “I am excited that we can offer YCP members the ability to further their education in a faithfully Catholic environment. We are proud to partner with YCP members as they continue to cultivate and integrate their faith while enhancing their careers.”

Additionally, as a UDallas partner, YCP will be able to receive customized workshops and have priority recruiting space at university career fairs. UDallas students, at both undergraduate and graduate levels, will also benefit from the partnership through internship opportunities with YCP.
