Best Bets: Events to Anticipate, Week of 2/29/16

It’ll be a little quiet on campus next week due to midterms -- save for the sounds of teeth-gnashing and too-much-coffee-and-not-enough-sleep-induced panic attacks, perhaps. But if you need to take a break or get your mind off of studying for a little while, here are some ideas.

At lunchtime (noon-1 p.m.) on Wednesday, bring your lunch to the upstairs Haggar dining room for a Brown Bag Recital. Let the music carry you away as Music Department students perform. Cookies, coffee and punch will be provided.

Then, that evening from 5-6, join Assistant Professor Robert Yale, Ph.D., of the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business, for Wine Down Wednesday in upstairs Haggar. Food and nonalcoholic beverages will be provided.

On Saturday, March 5, the School of Ministry will host a daylong Lenten retreat, Spirituality Day or “una mañana de oración y refleción,” with Dominican Father Brian Pierce in Spanish, open to whomever wishes to attend. More information can be found here.

Also, don’t forget: through April 22, UD’s Beatrice M. Haggerty Gallery is hosting “Marc Chagall: Intersecting Traditions.” Go by and see it when you have a chance!

And good luck on midterms!
