The University of Dallas has announced the appointment of Richard Huntley, Ed.D., as assistant vice president of human resources. He brings more than 30 years of human resources experience to his role overseeing all HR policies, programs and procedures at the university.
“Dr. Huntley brings years of valuable professional HR leadership experience that will help to transform how the department serves faculty and staff needs,” said Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Brian Murray, Ph.D. “His approach to leading human resources will deliver an environment of professionalism that fosters both engagement and trust.”
As assistant vice president of human resources, Huntley will plan, develop, implement and manage policies, programs and procedures necessary for the effective, efficient and legally compliant delivery of human resources services to the university community. These services include programming to foster and maintain an employment culture and climate that advances the dignity of the human person in accord with the university’s mission and values. As Huntley leads the human resources staff, he will be particularly responsible for operational management and delivery of the university’s employee relations programming.

Prior to joining UD, Huntley was the global vice president of human resources and facilities for Pegasus Solutions, a processor of electronic hotel transactions. In this role, he collaborated with the executive team on the company’s strategic plan for increased profit and a common vision. He aligned HR with the key organizational objectives globally in 11 locations and partnered with operations management for re-design of work space, processes and employee skill sets to better support clients.
Huntley earned a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, a Master of Arts in education from Claremont Graduate University and a Doctor of Education in fiscal management and administration from the University of Southern California.
