UD Haggerty Gallery Presents ONWARD FORWARD
Juried Graduate Art Exhibit Features 13 Students from 6 Universities

 

The Beatrice M. Haggerty Gallery at the University of Dallas will host the inaugural ONWARD FORWARD: Graduate Art Exhibition, May 12 through July 8. The juried student art show features the works of 13 graduate art students from Master of Art and Master of Fine Art programs at six North Texas universities.

ONWARD FORWARD celebrates each students’ artistic imagination and theoretical knowledge in an array of different media including sculpture, painting, video, ceramic and print. This year’s jurors are Kyle Hobratschk, artist co-founder of the artist residency 100 West in Corsicana, Texas, and Christina Haley, artist and curator of the Beatrice M. Haggerty Gallery. During a preview night on Thursday, May 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the gallery, selected artists will present an artist talk on their exhibited works. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, May 13, from 4 to 7 p.m. The events are free and open to the public.

Exhibiting artists are Kacie Baker, Jessie Budd, Mary German, Elizabeth Given, Courtney Googe, Holly Gray, Eric Hess, Matthew Jones, Tiffany Milow, Rebecca Shewmaker, Katerina Verguelis, Blake Weld and Terry Wilder.

The six universities represented in the exhibition are Texas Christian University, Texas Woman’s University, University of Dallas, University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington and University of Texas at Dallas.
