Dr. Maryam Ahmadi was hired last summer as an affiliate assistant professor of economics. She holds a doctorate in economics from the University of Texas at Dallas and B.S. and M.A. degrees in economics from the University of Tehran. Dr. Ahmadi’s primary academic interest is the applications of experimental and behavioral economics in microeconomics and game theory. Her research focuses on experimental approaches to individual decision-making under risk, as well as individual behavior in game theoretic frameworks. She is also interested in applied microeconometrics and public economics. Dr. Ahmadi’s personal interests are being with her family, exercising, yoga, traveling and being out in nature.
