UD Gupta College of Business Celebrates Top Accreditation

IRVING, TX (Feb. 1, 2023) — The Satish and Yasmin Gupta College of Business at the University of Dallas has extended its global accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

According to an AACSB press release, AACSB awards accreditation to schools that show excellence in areas relating to curriculum development, learner success, teaching effectiveness and impactful thought leadership.  

"I am honored that the University of Dallas Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business has been granted an extension of our AACSB accreditation after a successful continuous improvement review,” Gupta College Interim Dean Susan Rhame said.

“This seal of approval from AACSB demonstrates our commitment to excellence. AACSB accreditation signifies that our college provides quality business education and impactful research that has a positive societal impact. Congratulations to our faculty, staff, students and alumni for all their efforts in making this accreditation extension possible."

Provost Matthias Vorwerk thanked Rhame and other Gupta College of Business faculty for the high caliber of their work.

"I am very pleased that the Gupta College of Business has received such an outstanding affirmation of the quality of its programs and its faculty," Vorwerk said. "The extension of the AACSB accreditation lays the foundation for a continued process of innovation and growth in accordance with the rich academic tradition and mission of the University of Dallas. My sincere thanks go to Interim Dean Dr. Susan Rhame and her team for their hard work and dedication in service of an excellent business education.”

In a statement, AACSB Executive Vice President Stephanie M. Bryant recognized the standard of excellence that accreditation requires.

“AACSB congratulates each institution on their achievement,” Bryant said. “Every AACSB-accredited school has demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curricula development and student learning. The intense peer-review process exemplifies their commitment to quality business education.”
