University of Dallas Expands Automatic Admission Program

IRVING, Texas (Sept. 18, 2024) — The University of Dallas has expanded its automatic admission rule, the UDallas Promise, to include Catholic high schools in Texas, Oklahoma and Lincoln, Nebraska.

The UDallas Promise guarantees admission to students graduating from these schools who meet certain criteria. Students must achieve an unweighted grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or a weighted GPA of 4.2 by the end of their junior year; they must score a 1250 on the SAT, a 28 on the ACT or a 94 on the CLT; they must have a clean disciplinary record; and they must apply to the University of Dallas by March 1.

“Our part of the country — Texas and the heartland — has become a real American bread-basket of resurgent Catholic faith and learning, and the University of Dallas is proud to serve the Church’s mission of advancing the common good through teaching, scholarship and religious formation,” said Vice President of Enrollment Andrew Ellison. “We hope Catholic students and parents throughout the region will view the University of Dallas as a top choice for Catholic higher education, a model of Catholic fidelity, student culture and serious learning.”
